Adding to what I have already done for the Fabrication Facility located at Columbia College Chicago, I decided to explore the concept of laying out and mocking up a smartphone application for users to download. The application would house vital information for demonstrations, authorizations, hours of operation, resources and reservations, and even a tool glossary to help users of the facility fully understand what they are capable of and what is at their disposal. Unfortunately this is just a concept and likely will not be put in place, but seeing the potential and the value that an application like this could hold for the users of the facility is a wonderful consideration.
