Sheridan Tablet Cover
Tablet cover I made recently for my friend. I designed the flower pattern expecially for this piece. I am getting better at sheridan style carving, but there's a still long way to being pro :).
The cover was made out of 5-6oz. vegetable tanned leather. It has a cream lining made out of soft and thin goats suede. It is stitched with Colonial Tan Ritza Tiger Thread. The purple color I created myself by mixing Violet and Scarlet wated based dyes. The flowers are also covered with a layer of Mahogany gel antique. The cover is finished with bees wax based paste.
