It goes without saying that designing and producing a chair that reflects a personal narrative requires an arduous creative process. Fittingly, the personal concept behind the Tangent Chair is what we often perceive as suffering or weakness may indeed be great strength. The process book I developed for Tangent uses grungy obscuration to emphasize and reveal the transformation of an emotionally driven concept into a practical object.
