Ster Kinekor, Cinema Nouveau Pride hosts the (LGBTQ) Film Festival and in the early stages of the festival it was still quite taboo for a film festival solely dedicated to the LGBTQ community. So to create awareness for the right audience we called the festival Take Pride Film Festival.
The design was informed by rock n roll iconography which often have a tongue 'n cheek visual language. In order for the festival seem enticing the look and feel took inspiration from the glazed cherry red lips of a famous Guns 'n Roses album cover. And the play on glazed sweets was pulled through to the opening of the festival where the catering was fruity and sweet.
