For this piece I had to make a post card for a place that I had visited in person using Only photos I had taken. I knew I wanted it to be reminiscent of old fashioned postcards with the big lettering going across the front on a curved line. Once I knew that, I walked all over Fort Monroe and took pictures of locations of note and things that were generally eye pleasing. Fort Monroe is a historic location so I decided to focus on that aspect. For editing the photographs I adjusted the contrast and color and meticulously cut out all the pieces I needed to create this composition. I wanted it to look like one seamless picture.
