Service Design: Hands On
Brief: Design a new product, service or tool to enable people to give their time or their money to good causes.

Solution: A new community interface system that uses contactless technology to make it easier for people to give time to causes they care about.
Designed with various levels of technology in mind, the service would work through one of the following systems:

1. Contactless card + text message
2. Cameraphone photo + text message
3. Smartphone camera+ app
5. Near-Field-Communication enabled smartphone + app
By being able to take away all the relevant information for an event quickly, and by syncing with mobile calendars, social media and text messaging to provide reminders, the hope was that passers by, particularly in busy or commuter areas, would be deprived of many of the excusing for not volunteering their time, such as having to check their diary, or not knowing how they would travel to the event.
