‘The Bloody Chamber’, By Angela Carter is a collection of adult interpretations of classic fairy tales. Using sombre colours and ominous compositions and expressions, I have tried to capture the darker side of classic tales such as ‘The Bloody Chamber’, ‘Puss in Boots’ and ‘The Company Of Wolves’ using mixed media of indian ink, found textures and photoshop colouring. The Book binding design encompasses the theme of good vs evil and the feminist feeling of the book and was hand rendered and reworked on Adobe Illustrator.
