Modulo Three was a response to a university brief that required students to produce a typographic piece based on the theme of ‘Three Minutes’. I chose to produce a kinetic typeface, which could be programmed to transition between letters of the alphabet and could also be manipulated by the user.
I produced a Flash microsite too, which contained two separate specimens of the typeface. The first transitioned between each letter in the alphabet over a period of three minutes, while the second displayed the entire alphabet all at once.
The final typeface is unique because the letter forms are generated at run-time and are therefore completely random. They never appear completely static either, as the particles that compose each letter are constantly animated.
