Glass table designed by Oscar Ko and Yunduan Gu for Dal Pian Design
Mountain & Water is one of the winning projects of the Glass House Collection '13 contest launched by Vetrerie Dal Pian on Desall.com. The sponsor was looking for new furnishing elements to be realised through their technologies dedicated to the working of flat panes of glass. The competition received great international interest, with submissions coming from more than 50 countries, laying the foundations for the creation of a new brand, Dal Pian Design.
Mountain & Water is coffee table made of steel, wood and glass.The mountain shape is created by custom-shaped wood panels, while the water is rendered through a flat glass. The authors, Oscar Ko and Yundua Gu, drew inspiration from the natural reflection of the mountains in the water, with the aim of conveying a sense of tranquility and motion.
