While working with an NGO called KADAM, I created this short Documentary on the craft of Sitalpati in West Bengal. 

KADAM works for the economic and social development of the Rural craftspersons of Bengal. They also provide a marketing platform for them to sell their goods.

In the last week, we conducted a workshop at Purulia in Bengal. We taught a group of 23 adolescent girls, simple hand skills including embroidery, sewing etc. Along with this basic marketing tools, colour and design sensibility and production management ideas were taught. Some of the products created included, cloth pataka (party decoration), handbags and pouches, newspaper bags and rakhis.
