Matt Light Foundation, Fundraiser Auction Item Teaser

Here is a sample that highlights my still capture style as well as my experience in shooting and editing video work. This short video was produced to build excitement around a top tier auction item for The Light Foundation, a 501(c) charitable organization I have worked with for the last 8 years. Up for bid was a 5 night 4 person expedition to Homer, Alaska, to meet the owners and crew of the crab fishing vessel F/V Time Bandit. I shot the stills and motion capture during the inaugural trip in spring 2011. Participants were treated to 2 full days of cruising Katchimak Bay on board the 113' work boat and got time to talk and socialize with the crew.

All in all, it was a great project, a great trip and plenty of fun was had touring the town of Homer and seeing a small sliver of the Pacific northwest waterman's life.

The most memorable part for me? Have to say, hanging out of a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter in April over the frigid Alaskan Sea shooting the ship underway had to be in the top three. If you don't count all the free crab dinners.

Many thanks and my utmost gratitude to Matt Light and all who helped get this off the ground.
