Four Bites Catering - No-glue Packaging

                                             — Four Bites Catering & Lunch
Freelance Work, Food Packaging — These are a set of paper boxes, that store and serve snacks, in a way that show them in the best way possible. This packaging is specifically aligned to the catering and lunch businesses, thanks to a few small innovations all across the line. Such as paper locks, folding solutions, and smart cut-outs. The result of all of this is a paper product that needs no adhesive.
Presenting to The Client — The X in the logo gave an idea for a cut out indicator, that guides the customer where to open the box.
Assembly — The fundamental goal was to eliminate the need for any glue, allowing the packaging to hold foods safely without harmful chemicals. This was achieved by using simple and elegant flap locks, that snap with minimal effort and satisfying sound.
Models — Through many iterations, I thought through the suitable containment parameters of the box, and the shape and feel of the right locking mechanism. While as the laser cut prototyping ensured near final quality look during development.
The Lunch Box — Pop up the lid and it unfolds like a flower, turning the box into a plate. Inside, a card with any important information (ingredients, contact details) for taking, or reading while eating.
Renderings — Fusion 360 was used to put together a quick visual of the products.
The Catering Box — Holds a party sized amount of finger foods, and morphs into a presentation display that invites people over.
