Information Design - Book
The photographic recording of an unusual view of my personal world, where certain objects, materials, texts... leave a special tactility or emotional value on my daily life.
With the sentence "We are all imperfect people in an imperfect world" by the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami started my search for myself. The main theme is the contrast 'perfection - imperfection', or how difficult a world can sometimes be to find a balance as a perfectionist. Throughout the work process it seemed interesting to extend the imperfection to my photos as well. For example, I deliberately had some photos printed and shredded on lime paper to emphasize this fragile theme even more.
The choice of cover is based on a nude watch supported by the title Nooit - Altijd (Never - Always), in order to reflect the timelessness and the seeking (im)balance.
