Launched by Gropak Limited into the New Zealand market in 2017. The Sunlite low carbohydrate potato brand, is the first Low Carb Potato to be launched into New Zealand. Making nutritional claims under Food Standards Australia and New Zealand of ’25% less carbohydrates than the common New Zealand Rua Potato’. Targeting food conscious consumers, the design/ marketing is targeted to emphasise the healthy eating nutritional claim, while working to reduce the bad stigma surrounding potatoes and diet.
