fall 2016: color study
monochromatic v. contrast of hue
depression(for me) is a sluggish haze of inky grey, cobalt, and affirmations that you could shower your loved ones with but seem light years away when you try to pluck one for yourself. the days wash together and everything seems heavy. like a really thin veil of plasticky saran wrap that is keeping me planted and unmoving, warbling whatever softness projected at me, to me, by me. a debilitating mental health subverts and dissociates the color out of life. this is how it feels.

*handwriting is mine, words are not. lyrics that narrated this particular winter of my life, music that grounded me and helped me until spring arrived.
