Week 1
Project: Pittsburgh Riverhounds v.s. New York Red Bulls II
Date: 03.23.17
Objective: To get comfortable with how the Hounds wants their designs to be. Also to get used to designing in a certain style.
Thoughts: When given the task to "play around a bit and find a style that matches both my style (Anthony Meier) and my own", I didn't really know what to do as I was really nervous. I was told to look back at previous opening season match "posters" and go from there. They used the paint style before in previous seasons and this season he wanted to go with a smoky texture. I was to put in any information I felt necessary, which was the time, date, opponent, and location. I added in the ticket prices and that they sold their beers at $5. All in all, Anthony said he liked my design, but I personally don't. I believe I could work on the smoke texture a lot better as there are 3 different textures there.

Week 2
Project: 2017 Pittsburgh Riverhounds Summer Camp Brochure
Date: 04.06.17
Objective: Upon getting the assignment, a brochure is needed for the Summer Camp academy program. This program is offered to Little Hounds and anyone under 13 years of age. The brochure was to include information found on the website, along with a total revamp of the old winter one (for summer). I am able to add my own touch to this project as long as it blends well with all the elements on the brochure.
Programs used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Week 3
Project: Facility Rental Prices for Highmark Stadium
Date: 04.13.17
Objective: In this assignment, I was to compress everything Anthony gave me from an email about the stadium rental information, and put it into a one page, front only, brochure and highlight all information in the email. This brochure will be used to give to people at the gates interested in renting any and all parts of the stadium area, along with the pitch, locker rooms, groundskeepers, inside area, etc.
Programs used: InDesign

Week 4
Project: Summer Camp Revise
Date: 04.20.17
Objective: After sending in the first draft, I was sent back with some revisions. These included taking off some of the information for the other camps and adding things like more coaches, and the pro team schedule. I also had to darken the brochure because the yellow font became hard to read.
Programs used: InDesign

Week 5
Project: Promo Pack and Ticket Plan Ads
Date: 05.04.17
Objective: During this week, I was tasked to create two ads that the social media team would be able to use to promote their ticket sales and their mini ticket plans. The first one was to advertise their mini ticket plan - pick any 6 games and secure your seats. The second one was for a 5 game ticket plan, where all the games listed above are the games you get to go to. These packs are made for Twitter but can be used on their website and Facebook.

Week 6
Project: Ads for Ticketmaster and Website
Date: 05.11.17
Objective:The assignment I was tasked to complete was ads for all home games for their ad spot on Ticketmaster and their website. These ads had to be 270PX x 110PX. These ads were supposed to replicate the ads they already have for the current home games.
Programs used: Illustrator

Week 7
Project: Ads for the Pennsylvania Lottery's "Share Your Summer Giveaway!"
Date: 05.18.17
Objective: I was tasked with creating an ad for the PA Lottery's "Share Your Summer Giveaway!" promotion for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. This giveaway was for tickets and to be with the players for the coin toss in center field before the game starts. The lottery sells select tickets then if you buy those tickets, they draw a number and if your number gets picked, you win! The PA Lottery has done this type of giveaway before, and it was very successful.
Programs used: Photoshop

Week 8
Project: Memorial Day Graphic
Date: 05.25.17
Objective: With Memorial Day coming up, The Riverhounds need a graphic to post on their social media pages, including Twitter, Facebook, and possibly Instagram, to celebrate Memorial Day. Nothing too special, but something clean and nice, something presentable.
