The art director and I originally created an identity folder for the client, which utilized their previous branded color pallet of brown and orange. Later, the client changed their brand colors to a more upbeat pallet. Also, we later found that the original design of the folder would rip when opened due to the velcro glued underneath the front tab. To prevent this from happening, we discontinued the velcro and created a die cut so the tab can tuck into the front panel. Thus, allowing the folder to close without losing the branded lighting bolt appearance. Plus, by using Spot UV, we minimized and mimicked colors creating a shiny texture, which in turn made the lighting bolts stand out more.
