Cable Car in Vila Nova de Gaia, visual identity and signage system
The integrated signage project of the cable car in Gaia was composed by the brand design, directional and security signposting. The brand searched for graphic mimics with the Oporto Subway, assuming itself as a complementary transport to the overcoming of distance between circulation quotas. The graphic style gives the touristic equipment an utilitarian character, by its integration among the city life. The brand circular inscription contamined the designed set of directional, informative and security signs. Supports were projected in rubber to assure a better vandalism resistance. The numeric indication of floors, intended in viroc, disguise itself camouflaged into the concrete walls, assuming its relative importance.
