The White House | Minimalistic Illustration Poster

The White House | Minimalistic Illustration Poster
This project that began in early April was based around the idea of producing a minimalistic poster that puts more focus on the illustration side of the final outcome, as opposed to the graphic design based side of the project, that would be somewhat similar to that of Tiny Text: Climate Facts from October 2016.

The chosen theme for the poster was that of the workplace of the President of the United States, the White House, also one of the most easily recognisable buildings in the entire world. The idea was to illustrate only the front of the building, but more specifically the portico that stands at the main entrance, alongside the North Lawn that is clearly visible to tourists passing by.

The poster itself would be kept modern by the inclusion of a URL that people could use in order to check out the official website of the White House, alongside a few social media signifiers that point to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The mockup for the final outcome of this project is that of an open art exhibition that feels spacious and simple, especially in such a way that allows the poster itself to “fill the room” with its visual reminder of power and patriotism.
