Johann Strauss II - Statue revival

Johann Strauss II is together with Vienna Coffee and Sacher Cake classical symbol of Vienna/Austria. Briefing was to create "modern" Strauss with coffee cup - for the branding poster. First i have done sketches in various positions.

Golden statue of Strauss II is the most photographed statue in Vienna. So i have downloaded from internet many statue photos for study each shape of the statue face. Then my friend David (in the costume:-) has made this photos, from wich i have choose one for the poster.

Vienna opera background was modified, so it should look more like rock stage. Then i have try to replace his head with the golden statue. After this i have created each part of face, then i have created texture of the skin for "old man" and then i have moved all parts together.
