I wanted to create an advertisement that would show children that reading could create a new whole new world and bring the characters to life.
I wanted to create the look of an actual story book character, and place her in a real environment. To achieve this I illustrated the character “Judy Moody” on a 2’x3' piece of acetate and then backlit it to give her the look of being illuminated. I then composited her in a scene with real people, creating the world that I had dreamed.
