Prove It — Nissan Ski Challange
The app
The first social media iPhone app for skiers and snowboarders. The app features real-time 3D maps of 45 major European ski resorts. You can geolocalize your friends on the ski slopes by using Google MAP API and Facebook Connect. By using the GPS tracking functionality, you can record and review your time and path with your friends, or sharing with friends on Facebook.

Prove it Challenge: Are you tough like QASHQAI?
Along withAlong with the app, Nissan set the special ski slopes on selected ski resort. The audience are encouraged to challenge the slope and record to post on the dedicated page on Facebook. The best performer was rewarded Nissan QASHQAI at the end of the campaign.


Challenge:
Increase awareness of the QASHQAI car and improve favorability and engagement among Nissan’s target consumer base.

Strategy:
Launch a branded app for European skiers that encourages community, competition, photo and video sharing, and engagement with the QASHQAI brand. Connect skiers through the only channel they share on the slopes: their smartphones.

Make sure the app shares important qualities with the car itself: high performance, daring and utility.

Results:
30,000 uploads in two months 
800 submissions to the PROVE IT Ski Contest
180,000 pictures and video previews on the Facebook Ski Contest page
