In January this year I had the opportunity to photograph the talented Opera Scholars Australia singers. For 3 days I watched and photographed the singers rehearse solo and with an orchestra. The finale was a wonderful night-time concert with a full orchestra, an adult and children's choir and in front of 3500 people at the Beechworth Golf Course. Opera stars, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Alexandra Flood, Shanul Sharma together with conductor Guy Noble completed a fantastic night. The portraits of the Opera Scholars Australia singers were photographed on the night of the concert before they went on stage. Photographed using a Nikon D800 and an Elinchrom portable flash pack to enhance the available light.
