About The Better Lawyer : The Better Lawyer is a career enhancing & resource discovery platform for everyone in the legal industry in India. The Better Lawyer picks the basics from the age old legal industry & combines it with technology to provide useful and easy to use tools, resources and a good legal community. Their User base ranges from Aspirants, Students to Lawyers.
Introduction : Folks at The Better Lawyer approached me with the task of creating end to end design
for The Better Lawyer. Designing brand identity was the first stage in this project. Identity design had to be sharp, contemporary, corporate yet friendly & approachable.
We started with creating a monogram for the brand, and extending it on stationery & other collaterals. The finalised monogram is derived from a Lawyer's band & a small triangle on left symbolises upward motion. The chosen colour palette is quite different than the traditional colour palettes used for law firms/legal start-ups/anything legal so as to make the brand stand out from it's competitors.
The style of illustrations, icons & other visuals was finalised in this stage, before we moved on to designing web & mobile products.
