Redesign of Jimmy Buffett's 'Floridays' album. The brief was to redesign existing packaging in a way that reflected the music. Jimmy Buffett is notorious for his easy going tunes, island escapism and the theme of flowing cocktails in paradise! I wanted to reflect this through vibrant, playful painted illustrations, interesting typography and layout.
The packaging consists of a 12 inch vinyl jacket, inner sleeve, record label, double-sided lyrics sheet and a set of 4 accompanying 'cocktail cards' intended to be used as a decorative feature on a Buffett fan's wall for instance or as a means to make some of Jimmy's favourite cocktails.
Illustrations created through a mixture of acrylic and watercolour, include the lemons and limes on the inner sleeve, the main illustration on the jacket, cocktails and island foliage.
