It's time to enjoy beautiful summer evenings and enchant the sweet nights of the season. Beyond furniture, Hyba continues to invest in the overall design of the garden; this time with Barbecue. The barbecue is within the spirit of the brand: practical, nomadic, aesthetic and colorful. It has been designed with a double objective: quality of the construction and the purity of its lines. It will allow you to sip a fresh fruit juice on the terrace and enjoy a good and sunny barbecue. Friends and family gather around a table barbecue without the classical inconvenience of grilling: smoke. A combination of subtle and contemporary materials as well as vibrant shapes to ensure a colourful meal.










THE IDEA: REDUCE THE SMOKE !

Why can a barbecue cause so much smoke? Benzo[a]pyrene is among the most toxic PAHs (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), which is a result of an incomplete combustion of animal fat upon contact with the burning charcoal. In other words, when the fat from sausages and other meat drips onto the charcoal, thus creating small flames, the benzo[a]pyrene rises through the smoke and permeates the meat. Know that a charcoal-grilled steak can contain the benzo[a]pyrene equivalent of 600 cigarettes.

A simple way to reduce the dripping of these animal fats onto the charcoal is the use of a funnel. By employing this feature the fat flows towards the center and accumulates in a small recipient, at the bottom of the barbecue.










BETWEEN NORMS & AESTHETICISM

During its development, close attention has been paid to the reduction of smoke. Multiple series of prototypes and tests were necessary to reach the perfect balance between norms (ex: surface temperature), industrial feasibility, cost, aesthetics and finally the product’s functionality.

HOW TO REDUCE SMOKE?

A simple way to reduce the dripping of these animal fats onto the charcoal is the use of a funnel. By employing this feature the fat flows towards the center and accumulates in a small recipient, at the bottom of the barbecue. (In order for this feature to be the most efficient and reduce the smoke to a minimum, it is recommended to regularly rinse the smoke reducer with a little water.) The small perforations preserve the enjoyments of charcoal-grilling, whilst the fat flows around them thanks to the heat effect.

In order to fully enjoy your time with family and friends, the table barbecue is easy to install and requires only little maintenance. Thanks to its stacking assembly it is easy to take apart, and is entirely dishwasher-safe as it is solely made of stainless materials.
