The Ommegang XV pays homage to the great trappist monks and monasteries of Belgium. It was released as a 15th anniversary beer, crafted with patience and inspired by history, so I wanted to refer to time in my design. I settled on creating an ornate solar mechanism complete with planets and wheat sheaves. Pristine gold and cinematic lighting help the bottle feel precious or maybe even worshipped.
The Soothsayer foretells a dark future, a dark beer that refers to an ancient black art and the shadows. I used cascading cloth to envelop the page and create a sense of smooth, flowing darkness that represents the malty beer.
