Spectacle of Tragedy is a two month exhibition that focuses on the American circus in the mid 19th–20th century. The exhibit specifically explores the darker aspects and ethically questionable events of tragedy that have plagued the circus throughout history. With a mysterious tone, the show contrasts the commonly bright and fun imagery of the circus with stories of atrocity and gloomy imagery.
