If you do not already know, our regional accent called the 'Geordie Accent' which resides within Newcastle Upon Tyne can be quite daunting to try and comprehend to say the least...
In order to get the rest of the world to understand our accent a little better, I put together a packet of cards which can be played like a game or used as flash cards in order to help people understand a few Geordie words.
Whether it is a new partner, siblings that have moved to Newcastle and are now speaking a little bit weird, family which reside in Newcastle or you are simply just visiting Newcastle and you want to be able to understand that waiter which sounds like he/she is speaking a totally different language altogether. These cards can help you understand the basics of the Geordie accent, and in no time you could be on your way to becoming a 'purely belter' Geordie dialect know-er.
An advertisement campaign which can be dotted around the 'Toon' giving potential newcomers to the area a words definition which they might not otherwise know.
