Normally I design wireframes for online applications like websites and webshops but this time it was for something completely different; wireframing Documtum. Documentum is an enterprise content management system and in this case it is used to manage the process of producing books.
Because the system is a few years old it wasn't possible to radically change the user interface of the system. Therefore the biggest challenge was to listen to the key-user and keep the business-users on board at the same time.
After analyzing the current usage we changed some of the processes and displayed information in another manner so the users are more capable of working efficient. The main reaction: "It is possible!"
