Punto Aparte

These are part of Visual Publicitaria III's end of term project, which consisted of creating a magazine and making ads for real brands that went along with said magazine's theme.

Our magazine, Punto Aparte, was a satirical publication that contained faux-articles with ironic and comedic content (inspired by The Onion, Le Gorafi, and Actualidad Panamericana). This meant that all ads within had to be, well, funny.

Ray-Ban: A play on its famous 'Never Hide' pieces featuring the ever-elusive Waldo.

McDonald's: Every Friday and Saturday night it's easy to find 24h McDonald's restaurants in Bogotá littered with drunken party-goers seeking a delicious late-night (or early-morning) bite. In Colombia, caldo (beef or chicken stew) is universally acclaimed for its hangover-preventing virtues. Rather straightforward.

Davivienda: One of Colombia's largest banks and rather famous for its humourous ads that for over two decades have varied over the concept of being in the wrong place (their copy being "Your money could be in the wrong place. Bring it to Davivienda.").
