天母綠玉聯盟 Tianmu Green Force
Tianmu, Taipei, Taiwan is the place I live.
In the 1950's, after the United States signed a defense treaty with the ROC (Republic of China), large numbers of US military advisories started stationing in Tianmu in order to provide training and support to the Republic of China Army.
The arrival of the US advisories brought a huge impact to Tianmu, the first pub, the first refrigerator, the first ever rock band, and the appearance of Pepsi and American junk food all started in Tianmu! Back then Tienmu was one of the coolest place.
In 1978 the US military Advisories left Taiwan and the houses were abandoned, most of them were abolished and new buildings were built. In 2012 there were only 1 American Military Housing and 1 ROC Army housing left in Tianmu. We started to realize that soon there will be none left if nothing was done, so over the past few years we've been working hard in letting the government understand the importance of the only 2 buildings, and in 2014 it was finally assigned as a historical building by the government!
