Entretanto, é preciso repensar os atuais métodos construtivos e suas tecnologias. Este projeto busca apresentar um novo conceito de habitar, por meio do uso de containers marítimos, e explorar soluções construtivas inovadoras.
• The growing development of society and the rise of new Technologies are great modifying agents of architecture as we know it. An architecture that adapts and reinvents itself according to the social transformations and lifestyles of its citizens. However, it is necessary to rethink the current construction methods and their technologies. This project seeks to present a new concept of inhabiting, using shipping containers, and to explore innovative constructive solutions.
O objetivo deste projeto é analisar as formas de habitação, suas histórias, e propor uma nova forma construir. Buscar o não convencional, proporcionar um método construtivo mais barato e rápido, um sistema de racionalização que seja inovador e sustentável.
Os containers foram considerados uma revolução na indústria de transporte, estima-se que sejam responsáveis por 90% do movimento de mercadorias no mundo. Entretanto, após determinado tempo de uso, eles se tornam inutilizáveis para esse setor.
Há alguns anos os containers passaram a ser utilizados como abrigos improvisados em países que sofreram com desastres naturais e guerras. Essa reutilização foi tão bem-sucedida, que surgiu a ideia de utiliza-los como habitações fixas, pontos de vendas, lojas, postos de saúde, e inclusive em reformas de imóveis construídos em alvenaria convencional.

The purpose of this project is to analyze the forms of inhabit, their history, and propose a new way to build. Seek the unconventional, provide a cheaper and faster constructive method, a rationalization system that is innovative and sustainable.

Procurar novos métodos construtivos é a melhor forma de dar continuidade à evolução da arquitetura, promover suas transformações e se relacionar com seu entorno e a sociedade. É preciso que a sustentabilidade seja incentivada nos projetos para que possamos produzir o novo e revolucionário.
