As an assignment, we were asked to redesign a local churches exterior landscape design. The design was to address numerous parameters that affected it, conceptual as well as technical, practical as well as spiritual, human needs as well as human expectations.
We were to tackle several underlying factors about the site, such as wheelchair accessibility, daylighting, planting strategies (choosing appropriate types of plants so as to compliment your design idea), and also sustainability (appropriate materials, construction strategies, etc.). While also dealing with programmatic factors like the use of the space by users of the building (current and future), including the spiritual program of the building, and understanding adaptability to the local area with safety and security.
