CONNECTED DIVISIONS - INDIAN WEAR COLLECTION
Connected divisions refer to the connections between the divided things, which bring them together and make it as whole universe. The whole concept came from the interest in mandala and textures, which led to the inspiration of the picture.
The image has been taken from the ceilings of Badami Caves in Karnataka, India by the photographer Rajesh Mishra. The meaning of mandala refers to the circular figure that represents Universe in the Hindu and Buddhist symbolism.
About the Collection
The collection speaks about the theory of universe. The Universe is made of different parts like Sun, Moon, Planets,etc They all are different from one another, But together as a whole they make a single universe. Now, if we bring one change in the universe the whole universe will be affected. Similarly considering a garment as a universe, it is creation by joining the basic bodice, sleeves, torso and trouser, If we brought little change to it the whole garment will be affected.
