Be An Innovator. Join The Team!

Working with a dedicated team of ACES illustrators, editors, developers and content specialists is a great way to get super results! 4-HInnovators (4-Hi) is a series of online teaching tools and classroom resources designed to introduce young people to the power of problem solving and the amazing opportunities in STEM related careers like engineering. Utilizing the popularity of graphic novels, each classroom adventure utilizes colorful graphics, superhero-based mentors and save-the-day storylines to guide youth through the hands-on STEM process.
4-Hi Logo Assets. Black and gold colors were used to identify the overall 4-Hi program, while each character and “graphic novel” lessons were assigned their own individual color palettes.
4-Hi graphic novel/brochure. To promote the 4-Hi program to the public, the program brochure was developed around the theme of popular graphic novels. A “mission file” teaser for each lesson, as well as an “origin story” for their corresponding characters gives teachers and educators a preview of how each lesson works.
4-Hi Push card. Direct marketing materials were also created to announce the arrival of new lessons. These direct mail cards are sent to past participants and stakeholders as new products are released online.
4-Hi trade show materials. Using color and scale to promote its message, Alabama 4-H utilizes a series of vertical banners to draw attention to its booth at trade shows, annual meetings and promotional events.
4-Hi promotional website & digital products. To help connect to 4-Hi programs easier, Alabama 4-H created a digital site that introduces visitors to individual products. The site also serves as a portal to Canvas Catalog -- a platform for educators to sign up for training courses and access to 4-Hi products and resources.
4-Hi digital guide -- DILA. D.I.L.A. stands for Digital Interface for Logistics and Archives and she was created to serve as a guide and mentor for 4-Hi educators going through online Canvas courses. Her role is to help course participants become familiar with, and learn to utilize, the arsenal of resources that are part of all 4-Hi programs.

4-Hi canvas courses. From the promotional website, educators are offered a direct link to the Canvas Catalog online learning system. By signing up for and completing 4-Hi’s customized “train-the-trainer” courses, teachers and classroom staff members are familiarized with the content of each lesson, as well as the customized digital and printed materials to be used in classroom activities.

4-Hi canvas courses. The Canvas Catalog learning system allows for media-enriched teacher tools, to include video-driven slideshows, Powerpoint presentation files and scripted teacher notes for use in the classroom.
4-Hi canvas courses. Provided by the educator, custom worksheets were designed for students to use during hands-on classroom experiments.
