Hey guys ,this is my wedding vi design , it hasn't been finished, but I would keep upload them to my behance.
At first ,me & my wife decided to design our own wedding VI, becasue as a designer ,I don't want to give this soooo important design to any studio to do. And I have a lot thoughts of our wedding ,so we decided to do it by myself.
In the beginning ,we have chosen that deep blue and gold could be our vi's main color.And I want to design it to be very modern but have some chinese classical elements. Like chinese typography or some chinese meaning.
Then we designed this logo , I kept chinese typography's structure, and used english writing way（no paused） to redesign these two words. And funny thing was , my family name and my wife's family name are both left-right structure. So I putted my family name "颜（yan）"’s left part to my wife's family name "强（qiang）" 's left. I did this because I thought when you get into marriage , you would become part of your wife(husband).
After logo ,then I started to design our invitation. I was very interesting about chinese traditional culture, so I decided to search inspiration from chinese beauty. Then I found south-china's old windows are very beautiful. Its bottom half is made up by horizontal-vertical woods. The grids of wood have very beautiful carve-up.So I used its girds to design the invitation's bottom side.And the patterns are dragon's horn,peanuts, longan,lotus seed,red date,phoenix's tail, which all means good marriage in China.
I'm still designing the wine's packaging for wedding feast. And I would print the invitation .So hope you keep watching my wedding design!
