Day of reindeer herders in the city of Salekhard. It takes place every year on March 25. This day there are folk festivals, national competitions such as: throwing a rope on a stick (tenjian to a troika) pulling a stick, reindeer team racing, national wrestling. Nenets (the indigenous population of Yamal) treat people to tea, invite them to the plague (national housing), and roll them on a deer harness. The reindeer herder's day is the largest of the holidays on the Yamal Peninsula, always very massively and fun.
