Case skin concept for NVIDIA's "Skin It to Win It" contest, made using a weathered aluminum texture, the NVIDIA claw logo, "Geared for Gaming" stamp, a reference image of battle damage on steel, and base image of the desktop case.
The "dappled" texture you see on the top surface and front edge of the side panels is my attempt to replicate the "digicam" (digital camouflage) pattern you see in a lot of modern military uniforms.
Everything was done in Photoshop CS5/CS6 using a Wacom Intuos4 tablet (an XL and a M).
I would have preferred to put more battle damage on the side panel to even it out and also put some largish cracks coming down from the top on the facade or some rusting effects, but I didn't have time for that.
NVIDIA's judges will be picking 25 finalists to be voted on by the public starting September 10th, and 5 winners will receive a GeForce GTX PC with their PC skin. You can check out all the entries in the contest gallery.
