I was having a friendly (ish) session of 5 minute blitz chess with my close friend Kent (Mr Najdorf Sicilian) Slade. He asked me where the people in my drawings come from. I told him they come from Galaxie 500.
He pointed out that was the name of a very fine late 80s-early 90s band from North America. I agreed that is true, and 'On Fire’ by said band is one of my favorite albums.
I explained that I was talking about a different Galaxie 500. He looked a bit perplexed, so I decided to make some pictures of G-500 to make things a bit clearer.
I don't think this worked.
Kent's chess is much better than his imagination.
