The aim of this 4 weeks project @ the Universidade de Aveiro was to improve people’s health habits for the “Programa Nacional para a Promoção da Atividade Física” (National programme for the promotion of the Physical Activity)
“Take a break” is an app for people that work with the computer.
I interview through google form 50 person (average age: 24 years old) about their habits while working or studying and from those insights, I realized that very few of them actually took care of themselves or their body. I thought about designing an app that performs better when paired with a wearable device. Which aims to make people forget about their phones, giving soft and not intrusive notifications through vibrations. The colour palette is relaxing and calming, which reflects the idea of the app. Although, it’s possible to change the colour of the tiles to give more or less importance to specific alarms. It’s a one screen concept app, that facilitates the usage, placing all the basic features on the same screen, which makes it easier to have a general idea of the different alarms.
