Chettinad Cookbook
With all the photographs, illustrations and recipes provided, I conceived the design layout of over 150 recipes written by two gifted sisters Meyyammai Murugappan and Visalashki Ramaswamy in Chennai. The book is a tribute to the working kitchens and storerooms of Chettinad homes, to the services of the Chettinad master cooks who kept it alive. It’s an attempt to preserve and record a culinary tradition of over 100 years. What took 10 years in the making for the sisters to compile was proofed, ready for press check and production from start to finish in a span of 3 weeks and completed by me.
Carpet Catalog
For this project, I scoped out photographs that combines the concept of nature to match its usage as a carpet fabric. I chose color, type and white space to show clean spreads throughout the catalog.
