TODAY I AM - An Interactive Story of Dissociative Personality Disorder
History

In 1646, as described by Paracelsus, this case has connection with sleepwalking in the 19th century. The 19th century saw a number of reported cases of multiple personalities which Rieber estimated would be close to 100. Epilepsy was seen as a factor in some cases. Some may connect this case to schizophrenia but in the 1900s, showed a dramatic decline in the number of reports of multiple personality after the diagnosis of schizophrenia became popular, especially in the United States. The rise of the broad diagnostic category of dementia praecox has also been posited in the disappearance of "hysteria" (the usual diagnostic designation for cases of multiple personalities) by 1910. A 2006 study compared scholarly research and publications on DID and dissociative amnesia to other mental health conditions, such as anorexia nervosa, alcohol abuse and schizophrenia from 1984 to 2003.
Summary

type. They actually only have one personality, but the patient will feel that he has many identities that have a way of thinking, temperament, grammar, memory, and the interaction of the different environments. Psychologists agree that the cause of this disorder in general is due to childhood trauma, associated with emotional, physical, sexual abuse and rejection from parents. Dissociation is defined as the disconnection from mind, feelings, act, and someone’s consciousness in facing a situation that is happening. This may cause the disability to recall or remember his personal and important information. The symptoms of this disorder are there is a high distinct memory variation, which fluctuate with the person’s split personality. The first type is child alter, basically this may be cause by the childhood. When childhood, the patient had a harsh torture physically or sexually. Second is prosecutor personality, in this alter, the patient will cause pain or punishment on another personality by engaging in self-mutilate behavior, damaging, and even tried to attempted suicide. Prosecutor personality may have confidence that they can harm other personalities without harming themselves. The last symptoms is the protector personality. This personality has its own function, which is to tell and advice the other personalities what is not able to do such as engaging in sexual intercourse or hiding from abusive parents.
For the medication, patient with this disorder is the most easiest to be hypnotized. The therapist will talk to each personality personally by calling them or identify them when they’re hypnotized. The procedure is to find who the real and only one personality in that patient. Slowly, therapist has to find his way to tell the other personalities to leave the patient.
Objective

The objective and purpose is to let people know more knowledge about psychological problems and to let people see the world in a patient. Other than that I also hope to let people find the way how to avoid themselves or even their future kids from this disorder. I also wish to send the visual and my art style to viewers and make them feel the way the author feels.
