These are sample wayfinding signage design for the Shapiro Design Lab at the University of Michigan. While the original signage was successful in navigating people through the two spaces in the lab—the Develop and Make space—it didn’t create a clear visual identity. Thus, the mood and work style of the lab appeared muddled. Through each of my designs, I evoked a distinct aesthetic: playful, edgy, and classic. After feedback from the staff, the first design was chosen for its playfulness and "maker" quality.
