I've done photography for a while, but always used only natural light and maybe a speed light since I was usually shooting outdoors. I've wanted to play and experiment with more complex lighting gear, but always found it intimidating. This year I decided I need to tackle this challenge, and accept the experimentation and inevitable failures that happen when learning something new. I'll be sharing some of the results of those experiments here.

I thought I would start with still life, since that makes it easy to experiment as much and whenever I want. This is a product photography shot of my wide angle lens I did recently for a personal project. I used a desk lamp, an off camera flash and a diffusion reflector.
