An up-and-coming sustainable seed company looking to promote a movement for urban gardening needs an identity. They sell seed-embedded paper which consumers can buy in postcard sized packs. The name Seedling was chosen because its suffix (-ing) implies that it is something you do, an action, which is exactly what the company wants from its consumers. The Seedling logo was made by cutting into a large, green leaf. This was done to get the most organic, handmade feeling possible. The business card bears a whimsical city rooftop illustration and when watered and given proper sunlight, actually sprouts and can be kept out on a desk until it is ready to be planted. The packaging is simply a biodegradable piece of paper that can be planted and has identity materials on it that have been printed with vegetable based inks.
