Description: Cinema 4D was the first 3D software that I happened to learn by myself and it wasn't part of my curriculum at MAAC. We had just Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya in our curriculum as far as 3D software were concerned. After exploring Maxon's Cinema 4D and mesmerised by it's amazing render output, intuitive user interface and it's wide range of tools, I was eager to do another interior model, in Cinema 4D, to learn more about the software and what it can do. So this model was again inspired from cg.tutsplus.com tutored by George Loffelmann.

I learnt some really good techniques in modelling, texturing and composition of objects within a scene. I emulated most of my tutor's work and added my own style to the scene like choice of colours and addition of objects. I like Dexter, the TV show, and I felt that this could be his kitchen, immaculate and peaceful from the outside, yet dark and bloody behind those shelves and cupboards. Who knows what he has inside that oven! Perhaps a slice of meat!

Coming to the scene itself, I used a day light system from Vray for the lighting to imitate actual sun light. Most of the textures were made within Cinema 4D except the ones for the floor, cupboard and the portrait, which are bitmaps projected and mapped onto that model.
Below is a wireframe of the above scene.
