Greene Family Crest
Ideation & Research : My goal for my crest was to create a royal, yet fun crest to describe my family. My ideas came from the Greene family Crest. A real crest that I found online. My family crest that was originated in England. I talked with my family and these were some of the ideas that we came up with.
The sketches that I drew were going for a beach vibe and I the crest shape was going for a royal look. I took the shape from the Greene family crest that I found online.
Roughs: My roughs completed the vibe that I was going for. I made these two roughs and I had edited them along the way.
Comps: I only had one comp on Adobe Illustrator due to the limit of time. I did switch up the placement of the descriptive pictures that I created on Adobe Illustrator. This was my final comp that I had created.
Final: My final product was the same as my final comp. The color of the crest I believe flowed very well with the beach vibe that I intended to create. The colors flowed very well and I liked the way that it had the feel of the beach.
My explanation for each picture: First in the top right I did tally marks which make it 5 marks. I did this because there are 5 children in my family and we are very close together. In the bottom left I made it an ocean. My family loves the beach and I am from Del Mar, California so it seemed very fitting for a beach. In the top left did a baseball because my family loves the game of baseball and I play myself. And lastly in the bottom right I did a camera to represent my mother. She loved to take photos so I made that in memory of her.
