I recently got to go to the Nairobi Terminal of the new SGR(Standard Gauge Railway). The building is still under construction, but is already a remarkable combination of art and architecture. It's curved metallic modern architecture stands in stark contrast to the common brutalist architecture of most buildings in Nairobi, its quite a sight to see. Here are some images showcasing it's beautiful form and patterns from my visit. The railway is set to commence operations in June.

The concept for the design, as seen in the panorama below is two trains moving towards each other, while both carry a load(The railway will also be used to transport containers, and inland port is also under construction nearby).
