This piece is for an exhibit wherein a literary artist is paired with a visual artist. The writer creates a poem and the painter translates the poem visually. Lucky for me, I was paired off to a poet who wrote a piece about her son, who is about the same age as my own youngest child. So I made a portrait of my son playing in my dad's property overlooking the city. As the poem talks about the writer's endearment for her child, my artwork poignantly immortalizes my 7-year old son's image.
